In a field with so many great men, it’s easy, but unforgiveable, to overlook the talented women who are every bit as hard working and talented. Beverly Watkins is just one of many. Another beaut post – we never hear of people like this here in Australia. Now – have your heard of Del Rey? Looks like somebody’s grannie, but plays a mean sardine can!! I saw her perform at the Woodford Folk Festival near Brisbane Australia back in ‘95 and bought her CD ‘Boogie Mysterioso’ at the door (of the tent she was performing in). Great musician, worth a look!!
