Im glad John hung out in Eugene ,Oregon while filming Animal House. And came upon his inspiration for his Blues act from Robert Cray and Curtis Salgado, And if JB opened up some new folks to the Blues thats okay in my book. If not mistaken i would have to dig out the vinyl JB dedicated the album to Curtis Salgado.

I really love their sound, and the frontmen are actually great singers (expecially Jake), besides the well known stellar quality of the rest of the band. I will surely play their music in the next week. Lately I discovered and last week I re-discovered a blues brothers related album: 36-22-36 by Jim Belushi & The Sacred Hearts: the band backing "brother zee" (great harmonica player and quite a good singer) is composed by high class session musicians and I really enjoy the record at every listen. It's funny and amazing at the same time how the whole Blues Brothers tradition, despite its comical roots, has earned quite quickly a whole sacred tone and huge respect in the music universe and, most difficult thing, in the blues world.

Have some nice Holydays anyway :)
