Anyone visiting Chicago can make it a Blues-day by calling Willy Dixon's Blues Heaven at the Chess Studios at 2120 S Michigan. Or go to http://bluesheaven.com/tours/, make an appointment and see where, many say, the Blues began. What's this to do with Buddy Guy? At the end of the tour you'll be given a discount pass to Buddy Guy's Legends. As a disclaimer, I did the tour and club about five years ago and am not sure if the passes were limited or even if the offer is valid anymore. So call first. Great repost! Sometimes they would show up as Maxwell St. on The Southside and jam on the street.Twas a wonderful time in my life. 8-) I was lucky to live in Chicago in the early 70’s and was able to see B.G. and Jr. Wells and a host of great bluesmen.
